Safety and security standards
As a host, you commit to keeping your guests safe and providing experiences in a secure environment. To support this, please follow these standards:
- Avoid unsafe situations: assess your activities for potential risks and take steps to prevent hazards.
- Be prepared: know the nearest medical facilities, keep emergency numbers handy, and inform guests of any relevant safety procedures.
- Stay sober: you must never be intoxicated during a tour. Alcohol may only be consumed if wine or beer tastings are part of the experience. Never buy alcohol for minors.
- No drugs: possession or use of illegal drugs during a tour will lead to immediate removal from the Withlocals platform.
- Maintain professionalism: hosts are in a position of trust. Emotional or intimate involvement with guests—whether real or perceived—will result in instant removal from the platform. To avoid misunderstandings, never enter a guest’s hotel room.
